Peking University Student Overseas Study Program
As part of the university’s "Talent Quality Improvement and Cultivation Strategy" of the university's international talent cultivation plan, the Peking University Student Overseas Study Program (EAP Education Abroad Program) aims to build an overseas exchange platform for Peking University students, providing them with opportunities for long and short term overseas study, cultivating international first-class innovative talents with a global perspective and global influence.

What to Apply?
The program integrates and standardizes various overseas study programs, and continuously explores more exchange areas, enabling more students to develop an international perspective in a joint-educational environment. It brings the achievements of overseas exchanges back to campus and improves the internationalization level of Peking University. By increasing the breadth, depth, and frequency of students' overseas exchanges, the program is committed to supporting joint-training programs in key development areas such as fundamental disciplines and key core technologies. It also facilitates substantive overseas study and exchange programs, better addressing students’ needs for international education. Peking University maintains good and active student exchange relationships with nearly 120 friendly institutions, including the National University of Singapore, Cornell University, the University of California, the London School of Economics and Political Science, the University of Munich, etc., covering all disciplinaries. Each semester, through the EAP semester exchange program, more than 400 Chinese and international students from Peking University go abroad to further explore the world.
To comprehensively support the development of the Peking University student overseas study program, the program provides scholarship support for students, with a scholarship coverage rate of over 90%. In 2023, our university established the "Global Influence Cultivation Special Fund" for the first time, providing strong financial support for student overseas study and exchange programs with cooperation between departments and top foreign universities.
University-level Exchange Programs
The study duration is one semester or one academic year. Selected students will study at the partner institutions. They can earn credits from the overseas universities, which can be transferred into credits of their home university upon the completion of study.
Short-term Study Programs
The study duration varies from 2 to 8 weeks, mainly during winter and summer vacations. The project forms include course learning, laboratory internships, field visits, etc.
International Organization Internship Programs
The internship duration varies from 1 to 12 months. The main form is to go to overseas organizations or enterprises for internships. Currently, our university has signed agreements with organizations such as UNESCO, UNICEF, UN Women, the International Telecommunication Union, the International Court of Justice, etc. Every year, PKU students are regularly selected for internships.
Degree Scholarship Programs
For students in the graduating year, those who recieve the scholarship can study at overseas universities after graduating from Peking University.
