Yuke is the abbreviation for Yuke/Pre-university Program. The Yuke/Pre-university Program for international students at Peking University, which provides one to two years of preparatory courses, are designed for high school graduates with excellent academic performance who aspire to pursue a bachelor's degree at Peking University. The program aims to facilitate students in developing the international outlook and becoming global citizens with Peking University’s high-quality educational resources. In the program, the learning of language knowledge and the developing of language abilities are equally emphasized, and students will improve both their Chinese language proficiency and comprehensive capabilities. The syllabus and curriculum, which facilitate students’ ability of independent thinking and problem solving, will broaden their horizon and enrich and strengthen their academic background, laying a solid foundation in terms of Chinese language proficiency and professional knowledge in undergraduate studies.
