Ensure that your home university has an inter-university exchange agreement with Peking University and that you meet the application requirements. Once confirmed, you can apply to your home university to study Chinese or select undergraduate courses at Peking University.

Management and Regulations

Academic Calendar

Peking University divides the academic year into two semesters: Fall and Spring. The Fall semester runs from early September to mid-January of the following year, while the Spring semester is from late February to late June. Each semester consists of 18 weeks.

Chinese Language Course

The Chinese language courses are specifically designed for international students and are divided into three levels, both mandatory and elective Chinese language classes and are taught in small groups, with approximately 15 students per class.

Undergraduate Course

The university upholds talent development as its core mission, striving to provide students with the best learning and growth experiences. Students can choose courses in both Chinese and English, and exchange students can select courses across different departments.

Grading System

Students will receive an official transcript two months after completing the exchange program. For credit transfer matters, please consult your home university. All courses registered officially will be included in the transcript.

Management and Regulations

Matters related to registration and course selection, attendance and leave requests, extension of study period/transfer between departments, departure procedures, and certificate/transcript applications, please refer to program’s individual notice.
