The Chinese Ministry of Education stipulates that international students studying in China must purchase medical insurance designated by Chinese institutions. Students can log in to the China Study Abroad Insurance website (http://www.lxbx.net) 15 days before the registration date, pay the fee online, and purchase comprehensive medical insurance for international students in China. You can also buy medical insurance at the registration office on the registration date. The school will not process registration procedures for those not purchasing the required medical insurance.

Medical

Peking University has a school hospital and the Third Hospital that can provide good medical services for everyone. You can visit these two hospitals with your student ID when you are unwell. There is the Haidian Hospital in Huangzhuang, the Chinese Medicine Hospital in Xiyuan, and around Peking University. There are also large-scale comprehensive hospitals, such as Union Hospital, Beijing Hospital, China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Tongren Hospital, etc., in the urban area. They are all good large-scale comprehensive hospitals. You can choose different hospitals for treatment according to your needs.

One thing to remind you is that because Peking University requires all international students to have medical insurance, you should pay special attention to the scope and use of your medical insurance when you go to the hospital. Before seeing a doctor, you should contact the company you are insured with and ask in detail about the usage and precautions of your medical insurance in China and Beijing. Strictly follow the relevant terms of the insurance contract. You should also ask about some details, such as whether outpatient expenses are reimbursed, to avoid unnecessary trouble.
