Dear International Alumni

To express our gratitude for your enduring care and support for the alma mater the Peking University Alumni Association has specially prepared an alumni card for you. This card grants you access to campus and allows you to use the library’s general collections. This initiative marks the beginning of our efforts to serve and engage our alumni community. As our alumni programs expand we will provide even more diverse and convenient services for you.

I. Alumni Card Privileges and Guidelines

1. Serves as a credential for campus entry.

    

    

2. Access to general collections in the university library during regular periods (excludes fee-based services such as rare book viewing or CD-ROM retrieval). During final exam periods each semester the library will be closed to alumni to prioritize students’ study needs. Specific dates will be posted on library notices. (Note: Since March 2005 the campus card system has been implemented. For details on using the alumni card to enter the library please refer to the guidelines).

    

    

3. Complimentary entry to the Peking University History Museum and the Arthur M. Sackler Museum of Art and Archaeology.

    

    

4. Enjoy exclusive discounts at campus facilities including gyms gift shops museum stores and bookstores (specific terms apply per venue).

    

    

5. Access preferential services from businesses affiliated with the Alumni Enterprise Service Alliance.

    

    

6. Additional privileges such as dining services in campus cafeterias and expanded access to campus venues will be introduced soon. Stay tuned!

7. This card is non-transferable and must be used solely by the cardholder.

    

    

8. The Peking University Alumni Association reserves the right to interpret and adjust these privileges. Please stay updated via official alumni notices.

II. Alumni Card Application Process

1. Open the "PKU Alumni" WeChat Mini Program

    

    

2. Register on the "PKU Alumni" Mini Program

    

    

Enter the "PKU Alumni" WeChat Mini Program click [Register] and fill in your personal information.The system will automatically match your details with the university database. If matched successfully the program will redirect you to the alumni card application page. If unsuccessful please wait for manual review by the Alumni Association which typically takes five business days. (Note: Please follow the "Peking University Alumni Association" WeChat service account to receive the latest updates on your application status and notification. Review notifications will be sent via the service account and SMS.)

3. Apply for the Alumni Card

    

    

   After successful registration re-enter the "PKU Alumni" Mini Program click [Services] → [Alumni Card] and complete the application as follows:

    

1. Please upload photos of your academic credentials (e.g. PKU degree or graduation certificates). Current graduates may submit a digital campus card instead.

    

    

2. Provide a front-facing bareheaded portrait photo (recommended: white or blue background). Do not use photos of ID cards passports or other official documents. Such submissions will be rejected.

    

    

3. Submit and Wait for Review. Applications require manual verification (typically five business days).

    

    

4. Upon approval the "Peking University Alumni Association" service account will notify you of your alumni card activation.

III. Viewing Your Electronic Alumni Card

1. Via the Mini Program: After successfully obtaining your alumni card enter the [PKU Alumni] Mini Program click [Services] → [Alumni Card] to view it.

    

    

2. Via WeChat Card Package: Enter WeChat clicko to [Me] → [Cards and Offers] then select [Tickets/Passes] → [Peking University Alumni Association Electronic Card] to view it.

    

    

IV. Locating Your Electronic Alumni Card Number

After accessing the electronic alumni card through either method above your alumni card number is displayed as [NO. number] in the lower-left corner of the card.

V. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why is my registration or alumni card application rejected?

1. Incorrect ID photo: Submit a proper 1-inch or 2-inch color headshot (not an ID/passport photo).

    

    

2. Invalid academic proof: Provide valid graduation or degree certificates.

Q: How do I renew my electronic alumni card after its 1-year expiration?

1. After expiration visit the "Peking University Alumni Association" WeChat service account update your details in the membership system and submit to renew.

    

    

2. The physical alumni card is permanently valid.

Q: Are there fees for the alumni card?

1. The electronic alumni card is free for life.

    

    

2. The first physical card is free (sponsored by Bank of China Beijing Branch). Replacement cards cost RMB 50 each.

Q: What campus benefits come with the alumni card?

Use your electronic or physical card for campus entry library access museum visits and discounts on souvenirs. For full privileges visit the PKU Alumni website.

Q: Can I request an electronic card if I only have a physical one?

Currently the system does not support issuing additional electronic cards separately. We recommend applying for both via the WeChat service account.
